An Electronics Engineer by training and exposed to corporate environment for more than four decades and experience of managing couple of start ups, has been working passionately on Environment, Renewable Energy and rural development all along in the voluntary sector.

He has been on various committees on Energy, Environment & forest, Organic and sustainable agriculture, bio diversity, biofuels, biomass, feedstock development, value chain activities. He has held positions such as Chairman – Task force on Biofuels, Karnataka; Chairman – Karnataka State Biofuel Development Board, Karnataka; Chairman – National Working group on Biofuels, Ministry of Petroleum & natural Gas; Member - Apex Committee on Methanol – NITI Aayog; Chairman – Production of Methanol from Biomass/MSW – NITI Aayog; Chairman – Study Steering Committee on surplus Biomass – DST-TIFAC; Member on Indo-US committee on Science & technology, ARTfuel Forum – European Union; member – World Bank committee on Biofuels, Invitee on UN-ICRAF committee on Biofuels. He has also been closely associated with Biofuture platform.

He has been instrumental in drafting Biofuel policy for the State of Karnataka, Government of India, visualising and implementing several path breaking programs. He has networked over 5000 professionals, Institutions, Industry and entrepreneurs in his Bioenergy Journey. He has successfully mentored several start ups
